    Spa-Wellness Promotions & Increased Bookings: It’s a Package Deal

    When was the last time you posted a deal or package to your listing? If you can’t remember, it’s been too long! Submit deals (and ultimately increase bookings) via your partner page (please note, partners who are part of our Enhanced Listing program can post deals and packages [a complimentary feature of your SpaFinder Wellness program!]; while you’re at it, post an event to your listing as well).     Please note your promotions need to fall under the parameters of a “deal,” which include:

    • Deals must offer a minimum of 10 percent off public rates and include the “original/retail” price and the “discounted” price
    • Deals must provide the customer with a clear redemption path, such as a phone number or website with reference code, etc.
    • Promotions must be time relevant; for example, a Valentine’s Day deal should not be promoted in April
    • Deal postings may only last for a maximum of 60 days
    • We will continue to allow ongoing/evergreen deals ONLY if they are unique/infrequent/opportunities to capture new business (i.e. Birthday Special or New Customer Special)
    • Cannot offer your own gift cards for sale

    Reviews: 5 Reasons for Importance, 5 Ways to Generate Them

    New data released in an infographic by Reputation Advocate states: “87 percent of consumers say positive reviews online have reinforced their decision to buy a product or service recommended to them.” This statistic couldn’t be more relevant than when it comes to building the number of reviews on your listing and expanding your customer base. We cannot stress enough the significance of quality reviews on your listing—they’re a small step that can make a huge difference for your business.

    Why do reviews matter? It’s simple:

    • Helps create credibility for your business
    • Increases the likelihood of a prospective client booking with you over a competitor
    • Drives more sales to your business
    • Boosts the likelihood your property page will show up in Google search
    • Sets you apart from your colleagues!

    How can you generate reviews? That’s simple, too!

    • Educate your staff on the importance of reviews.
    • Encourage your employees to invite clients to write a review after their appointments. This is also an excellent way to find out if there were any problems.
    • Should there be any problems, resolve any issues immediately.
    • Set up “email reminders” prompting clients to review their service post appointment: An email template is available below
    • Create signage at front desk to remind customers to review service.

    Good News! We’re Making Managing Your Profile a Breeze

    You should have received this letter in your inbox, but just in case you missed it, we’d like to reiterate it: You can now manage your Last Minute bookings and profile at the same location where you access and manage your profile and gift card redemptions. To do so, log in with your credentials here. Once you log in, simply click on the Last Minute tab on the left side of the page.

    A couple of quick reminders:

    • If you are a Last Minute partner that does not already have a profile, a complimentary standard listing has been created for you and will be displayed on for a limited time. You will receive a separate email shortly with your new SpaFinder Wellness login and password information.
    • Please note your profile will be listed as a business that does not accept SpaFinder Wellness Gift Cards. If, however, you would like to upgrade your listing and/or begin accepting SpaFinder Wellness Gift Cards at your business, please contact:

    Record Early Voting in Readers’ Choice Awards Prompts Competitive Race

    SpaFinder® Wellness has reported that voting for the 2013 SpaFinder Wellness Readers’ Choice Awards is at a record high, as spa and wellness enthusiasts cast ballots for their favorite spas, salons, fitness and yoga studios, and more. Since the competition is so fierce, you know your colleagues have been ramping up plans to generate votes–which means it’s time to look at your own marketing strategy and determine whether or not it’s a winner. Here are five quick and painless ideas to keep your spa, fitness studio, or wellness facility in the spotlight, so readers remember you when voting (which ends September 6!).

    1. To spread the word about the Readers’ Choice Awards and make it easy for your clients to cast their votes, download the Readers’ Choice logo to place on your own website. (Plus, be sure to preview the main voting page for more award information.)
    2. While you’re at it, place the logo on your social media outlets as well.
    3. Schedule weekly mentions on your social media outlets particularly Facebook and Twitter, reminding your clients voting for the Awards has begun.
